I like it what layers are created around that fire place, I’ve seen layers with different colors but this one had just white and it looks shiny. Making the inner layer black makes a lot of sense and it looks very good.

This is a very neat setup, it looks perfect and you’re going to like the idea. This is more of a permanent setup, they’ve tiled that area so it’ll be difficult to constantly change the style. I prefer paint though because I can always change the color.
I’d personally go for black tiles because black would suit any color I decided to paint my living room. If I start another living room remodel, I would have to change the black tiles in this fireplace area because black is perfect.
